Removing the final donor parts.
Just spent that last couple of days seperating the engine and gearbox from the front subframe. Took the opportunity to remove the clutch and flywheel too. And finally removing the front hub / knuckles – the last remaining parts required from the donor. Remember to also retain the lower ball joints and vertical bolts from the front wishbones as these are not supplied with the kit.
Generally all went as expected but at the 11th hour, the hardest part of the entire donor strip down was trying to remove the front ABS sensors. All I can say is that in trying to remove the first one I found that there is a great deal of copper wire inside them. The other is still in the knuckle for another day!
